The Firm
Founded in 1988, Wengell, McDonnell & Costello, Inc. (WMC) is a 25 person Connecticut based, privately owned consulting organization providing a full range of services to government, private and industry clients throughout Connecticut and western Massachusetts. WMC specializes in civil engineering and infrastructure projects – transportation, environmental engineering and site planning and the firm is certified by the Connecticut Department of Economic Development as a small business enterprise (SBE).
The three principals of the firm represent over one hundred years of hands-on project management experience on assignments ranging from feasibility studies to construction management of multimillion dollar projects. Assisting the principals are WMC staff members with specific expertise in many disciplines of civil engineering including geotechnical, hydrology, hydraulics and drainage, bridges and highways, water and wastewater systems, dams and retention structures, and site development, as well as environmental engineering and permitting. Our professional staff is highly educated and experienced and includes over 15 degreed civil engineers, 10 Professional Engineers, licensed surveyor and 10 NICET/NETTCP certified construction personnel.
Technical excellence and competence are first and foremost at WMC and we have been able to merge this philosophy with an exceptional blend of interpersonal relations and management skills. A philosophy reflected in the fact that each and every assignment is performed with the direct involvement of a principal of the firm.
